Wiener Record Mode – November 1928
In the November 1928 issue of the Wiener Record Mode No. 96, published today, several color pages are presented with the most beautiful evening fashion for ladies. The special feature of the fashion line for the evening dress of 1928 was the one-sided lengthening of the skirt by irregular pointed or fluttering parts. Ribbons, bows and buckles made of rhinestones gave the models an additional touch of exclusivity.
At artdeco-boulevard.de you will now find over 4,800 pages in the online database.

Modenschau – October 1929
Ninety years ago, the New York Stock Exchange collapsed, marking the start of the Great Depression. This anniversary lends itself to the publication of Modenschau Issue No. 202 from October 1929, which provided the prelude to the 1929-30 winter fashions.
Fashion photographs by Paris and Berlin photographers Henri Manuel (1874-1947) and Ernst Schneider, as well as the U.S. Press Agency, showed the new fall fashions. A color plate in the center of the issue presents the most beautiful ball and dance dresses of the season.
