The photograph shows Elsie Ferguson wearing an evening dress holding a feather fan in her hand. The caption reads "From a photograph by Ira E. Hill [sic!]; posed expressly for The Designer. MISS FERGUSON is one of the few members of her profession who are eagerly welcomed by the most exclusive New York society.
